Mirella Prasad – CEO

Mirella was appointed CEO of Risk & Security Management in 2017. With over 20 years of experience in driving and delivering results in ASX listed and Fortune 500 organisations, Mirella has fine-tuned her experience in bridging the gap between strategy and operations with a particular focus around customer, risk, compliance, governance and driving positive cultural change.

Mirella’s expertise lies in strong numerical and abstract thinking skills to untangle complex business problems, from concept through feasibility and execution to management. Mirella’s demonstrated track record in leading businesses is complimented by her unique and wide ranging experiences across multiple functions, different departments, and different sectors in Australia and globally.

Prior to Mirella’s appointment as CEO of Risk & Security Management she held a number of senior leadership roles at the Bank of Queensland.  As the Head of Retail Collections and Recoveries Mirella was responsible for the Retail Banks troubled and impaired exposures. Mirella held accountability for increasing collections productivity across the end to end collections and recoveries process including early and late stage collections, placement and outsourcing strategy, hardship, complaints, legal panel management and debt recovery strategy. As the Head of Retail Risk, Operations and Service Experience and finally as the Head of Transformation, Mirella successfully delivered a range of programs to improve operational risk and compliance, productivity and staff engagement.

Stuart McAuliffe - Chairman

Stuart McAuliffe has overall responsibility for, and plays a key role in the Manager’s investment decisions. He leads a team of investment professionals, each of whom have considerable experience and expertise across global markets.

Stuart brings multi-strand skills in investment strategy, systems development, valuation and forecasting modelling and high level trading techniques. Stuart has an academic background specializing in index design and assessment, and in the development of complex short and medium term valuation and forecasting models and indicators.

Nick Wright - Director

Nick Wright was appointed as a director of Risk & Security Management Ltd (RSM) in 2016 and currently manages Trademark Investigation Services (TMIS). Nick has over 25 years’ experience in all facets of investigation and field agent services. In 2014 Nick merged his firm IDS Group with Advance National Services which are now part of the RSM Ltd group. When RSM acquired Trademark Investigation Services in 2016 Nick was appointed National Manager of TMIS to efficiently integrate the business into the group and co-ordinate operations in accordance with RSM’s objectives and strategic framework.

Nick has been enthusiastically involved with industry associations for over 25 years which is a testament to his dedication to represent the industry and promote positive reform and continual improvement. Nick was instrumental in the drafting of the Debt Collectors (Field Agents and Collection Agents) Act 2014, working closely with the Queensland Government over many years.

During his career, Nick has achieved the following:

  • Certificate IV in Government (Fraud Control)
  • Past President, Vice-President & Secretary of the Queensland Division of the Institute of Mercantile Agents Ltd (IMA)

  • Past Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary and founding member of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Chapter of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS)

He is also recognised as an expert in the field of due diligence investigations and intelligence gathering with regular requests for training presentations being delivered to the Queensland Police Service.

Jody Wright - Director

Jody Wright was appointed a director of Risk & Security Management Ltd in 2016 and is responsible for corporate governance.  Jody has worked as the Legal and Compliance Manager for both IDS Group and Advance National Services since 2005 providing quality assurance management, corporate governance and legal advice on industry specific legislation and regulation, employment and commercial contracts, corporations law, intellectual property and legal IT.  Jody was also responsible for managing compliance in relation to the financial services sector and government legislation (including the National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Privacy Act and Australian privacy principles, ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, Corporations Act, ASIC Regulatory requirements and the Australian Consumer Law, as well as acting as Privacy Officer and being responsible for Compliance Breach, Management and Complaints Investigation and Resolution.  She has significant experience in both the investigations and commercial agency industries and has presented on a range of topics (including risk management, ethics, professionalism, compliance) at industry seminars.

Bryan Cook - Director

Bryan Cook was appointed as a Director of Risk & Security Management Ltd (RSM) in 2016 and is currently the National Manager of Ashdale Workplace Solutions, a role he has held since 2003. In this role he manages a team of professional investigators and support staff. Bryan’s experience includes conducting and managing complex investigations for State and Local Government authorities, operational reviews and training in investigations, ethics and complaint management.

Bryan has undertaken complex investigations into suspected corrupt conduct, grievances (bullying and sexual harassment) and complex workplace issues involving senior management including CEOs and Directors-General of government agencies. He has also conducted and overviewed high level investigations into professional misconduct, particularly in the health sector.

More recently Bryan has been engaged as a consultant to assist organisations to implement comprehensive complaints management systems. He has also been appointed since 2013 as a member of the Queensland Government Child Death Case Review Panel, tasked with reviewing Department of Communities’ responses to deaths of children in Queensland. In 2016 he was appointed as Chair of several of these sitting panels.   

Bryan has also developed and delivered training programs to a range of State Government, Local Government and not-for profit organisations around:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Child Protection
  • Interviewing
  • Workplace investigations

Prior to commencing with Ashdale, Bryan had extensive experience with the Queensland Police Service, including working as an Investigator/Reviewing Officer at the Crime and Corruption Commission and investigating organised crime, child abuse and juvenile crime.

Travis Carter - Director

Travis Carter was appointed as a director of Risk & Security Management Ltd (RSM) in 2017. Travis has over 20 years’ experience in all facets of the field agent services and investigations and was a founder of Advance National Services. Travis is dedicated to the advancement of his profession and industry and is actively involved in leading industry associations. Travis has significant experience in operational management and has built a strong rapport with clients and agents throughout Australia.

Campbell Johnston - Director

Campbell Johnston was appointed as a director of Risk & Security Management Ltd (RSM) in 2017 and manages the Audits & Asset Inspections division, overseeing an exceptional growth period for the division. Campbell is vastly experienced in the sector which gives him an in-depth understanding of risk mitigation through repeatable process-driven outcomes.

Wayne Atkins - Director

Wayne Atkins was appointed as a director of Risk & Security Management Ltd (RSM) in 2017 and is the group’s strategy & administration manager. Wayne is responsible for ensuring that the organisation is well structured and is supported by best practice systems, procedures, quality control and compliance mechanisms. Wayne has been involved in the industry for over two decades.
