Mirella was appointed CEO of Risk & Security Management in 2017. With over 20 years of experience in driving and delivering results in ASX listed and Fortune 500 organisations, Mirella has fine-tuned her experience in bridging the gap between strategy and operations with a particular focus around customer, risk, compliance, governance and driving positive cultural change.
Mirella’s expertise lies in strong numerical and abstract thinking skills to untangle complex business problems, from concept through feasibility and execution to management. Mirella’s demonstrated track record in leading businesses is complimented by her unique and wide ranging experiences across multiple functions, different departments, and different sectors in Australia and globally.
Prior to Mirella’s appointment as CEO of Risk & Security Management she held a number of senior leadership roles at the Bank of Queensland. As the Head of Retail Collections and Recoveries Mirella was responsible for the Retail Banks troubled and impaired exposures. Mirella held accountability for increasing collections productivity across the end to end collections and recoveries process including early and late stage collections, placement and outsourcing strategy, hardship, complaints, legal panel management and debt recovery strategy. As the Head of Retail Risk, Operations and Service Experience and finally as the Head of Transformation, Mirella successfully delivered a range of programs to improve operational risk and compliance, productivity and staff engagement.
